A former national champion at Vanderbilt University and professional infielder, Coach Jayson Gonzalez brings elite collegiate and professional experience to the field.  

A Covina, California native, Jayson was a standout at Bishop Amat High School before heading to Nashville to play for college baseball power Vanderbilt under legendary head coach Tim Corbin. As a primary corner infielder for the Commodores, Jayson was a key four-year contributor, winning an NCAA National Championship in 2019 and delivering a memorable walk-off hit against Arizona in the 2021 College World Series.  

Following his senior campaign, Jayson was selected by the Chicago White Sox in the 2021 MLB Draft. He spent two seasons in the White Sox organization playing minor league baseball before continuing his professional career internationally with the Toros de Tijuana in the Mexican League (LMB).  

Coach Gonzalez is passionate about developing young ballplayers, sharing the advanced fundamentals, mental approach, and work ethic honed at the highest levels of collegiate and professional baseball.
